Local Lunch radio show – nice to be mentioned in the Guardian

Yesterday was the first of my August shows for the ‘Local Lunch’ radio programme. In a scorching hot studio, playing summer tunes, it seemed only right to be talking on the theme of summer festivals; food festivals and music festivals with lovely food.

I love getting to the station early and playing with what I call the ‘juke box’ (which is in fact a music data base) to finish picking and then uploading my music for the show. Then it’s into the studio for the nerves to kick in. The first 15mins of the show always go by in a flash of adrenalin and then I’m settled and we are off!

My guest in the studio was Kate Lole, organiser of the Wokingham Food and Drink Festival. We talked food, pitfalls and fun of festivals along with my A-Z of the seasons best food festivals.

It’s on that note that I have to say a big thank you to everyone who contacted me on Twitter and via my blog with your top food loving festivals and shows. There were some truly top tips for the summer!

When I got home from the studio I had a tweet from the Guardian journalist Elisabeth Mahoney to tell me that she had reviewed the show. What a lovely & kind review it is too;
