Porridge Lady back on the radio with apples! A recipe for a tasty ‘Local Lunch’ show.

I’ve had great time celebrating ‘Apple Day’, picking, juicing and joining in festivities. I have also been recording for my show on the ‘Local Lunch’ programme which goes out on air tomorrow lunchtime (25th October 2011).

Over the weekend I got the opportunity to visit the Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) to join in their Apple Day event but also to view the very rare Pomona book.

It was a rare treat to view the book and fascinating to talk to the staff on it’s history. I also got to find out more about the work of the National Fruit Collection and view some very rare apples. I also had lots of fun squishing apples too!

To hear all about MERL, Apple Day and lots of tasty apple ideas too, listen in tomorrow from 12-2pm on;
