The ‘Mornflake Great British Porridge Challenge’ is seeking to find creative cooks who are passionate about Porridge to take part in a ‘Stir-off’. The ‘Porridge Stir-Off’ will be held at the home of Mornflake Oats, in Cheshire, on Saturday 5th April in the scenic, 13th Century Bunbury Water Mill.
I will be judging the ‘Porridge Stir-Off’ with Simon and the Managing Director of Mornflake (and owner of the family business!) to find a Great British winner.
The winner of the ‘Mornflake Great British Porridge Challenge’ will receive;
- A Gourmet Evening-for-two, hosted by Simon, at his award-winning Cheshire restaurant,
- A year’s worth of Mornflake Porridge Oats and
- The recipe will also feature in Mornflake’s annual Oat Recipe Book.
However the Big prize is an all expenses paid trip to enter the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championships and the chance to compete for the globally coveted title.
