It was great fun to be back as Ms Marmite Lover’s Underground Restaurant at the weekend, for the ‘Bonfire Food Rave’. I love cooking on Ms M’s Aga to give one of my Porridge demo’s, in her fabulous kitchen.
My demo recipes always take on a seasonal flavour and as it’s November it was all about apples! But for this demo I was also going back to the basics of Porridge, with traditional coarse oatmeal Porridge.
Over the next week I will be posting up all three of the recipes that I cooked at the Underground Restaurant. Today we start with a video tutorial for traditional Porridge.
Traditional Porridge only needs three ingredients;
- Oatmeal – I like to use Mornflake Cereal coarse oatmeal but any oatmeal will work from fine through truly Scottish pinhead meal.
